Annual Subscription Service

Sweet & Maxwell's Consolidated Annual Subscription Service applies to a wide-range of looseleafs, digital products and journals. Under this service you pay once a year for all updating material published for a publication. Sweet & Maxwell will contact you each year to ascertain whether you wish to renew you subscription

Charge by Release Titles

Some Sweet & Maxwell looseleaf publications are sold on a 'charge by release' basis. Upon receipt of your initial order for the looseleaf mainwork, we will register you for a subscription service. Whenever a new updating release is published you will automatically receive the release along with the appropriate invoice. Please inform Sweet & Maxwell if at any time you no longer wish us to send you further new material for this publication.

Updating Services

Supplements & New Editions

Many titles have cumulative updating supplements issued regularly. On ordering any of these titles, customers will be automatically recorded to receive advice notes in advance of publication of a new supplement or edition.

To receive the supplement or new edition immediately on publication, together with a firm invoice, please complete and sign our supplementation agreement and return it to us either by fax or post.

Trade customers should place their standing order on behalf of their customers when ordering the original edition.

Bound Volume Services

For an additional charge we can supply you with a hardbound and indexed volume contain all the journal issues in a subscription year - and you don't have to return you original issues. The BVS is excellent value for money and an easy way to avoid misplaced individual parts.

Binders are also available for some periodicals for a small additional cost, enabling subscribers to file and protect their loose issues.

OTHER NOTICES

BACS Payments

In order to process your BACS payment, we require the following information:
  1. CUSTOMER ACCOUNT NUMBER
    1. This number appears on every document you receive from us, it is usually 11 digits
  2. THE REFERENCE FOR THE ITEM YOU ARE PAYING
    1. Invoice - please quote the INVOICE NUMBER (see example below)
    2. Renewal Notice - please quote the RENEWAL REF (see example below)
    3. Pro-Forma - please quote the PRO-FORMA REFERENCE NUMBER
  3. PAYING FOR MULTIPLE ITEMS?
    1. Please forward a remittance advice detailing the references of the items you wish to pay, e.g., invoice numbers, renewal refs or pro-forma refs. Send the advice by email to sweetandmaxwell.smg.customerbacs@thomson.com or by fax on +44 (0)20 7393 8051. Please quote the amount of the payment, the date it was sent and the Bank it originated from.
